A Family Man. A Commitment to Nassau.
David Smith has proudly called Wantagh home for more than 25 years. A husband, father, and community advocate, David is running for County Legislature to give back to the community that helped raise his daughter. David is commited to listening, showing up, and putting the needs of District 15 first.
"I believe government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and accessible to every resident."

Rebuilding Aging Infrastructure
Securing essential long-delayed infrastructure grants for repairs and local water protection.
Safe, Resilient Neighborhoods
Supporting our first responders with state-of-the-art training and safety gear, while backing proven, community-led initiatives that prevent crime before it happens.
Community-First Service
Establish direct, easy-to-access community outreach to address localized neighborhood concerns, from traffic calming to park maintenance.
A Lifelong Commitment to Our Community
Across every stage of David’s career, a consistent theme has emerged: helping people move forward. David is now running for the Nassau County Legislature because he wants to give back to the community that has meant so much to his family. He brings neither a single-track résumé nor a career spent inside government. Instead, he brings real-world experience gained from working with students, educators, employees, business customers, young people, and families.
